Using Multiple Tabs And Windows

Light Point Web supports tabbed browsing. All of your tabs that are in Light Point Web use a shared virtual server, and each tab on your computer is a separate process our the Light Point Web server. Because of this, Light Point Web currently only supports a maximum of 8 tabs at a time. This limit will be raised or eliminated in the future. Each window counts to this total. So if you have 3 instances of Firefox open, each with 1 tab, that still counts as 3 tabs.

To use tabbed browsing you can manually open new tabs, or use the built in “open link in new tab” functionality.

Opening Links in New Tabs

Right-clicking a linkThe easiest and most efficient way to use tabbed browsing is opening links in new tabs. To do this, find a link you would like to open in a new tab, and right-click on it.

Clicking “Open Link In New Window” will cause another separate instance of Firefox to appear, and it will navigate to the link that you had right-clicked.

Clicking “Open Link In New Tab” will cause a new tab to appear in your current Firefox instance, and it will navigate to the link that you had right-clicked. Switching between tabs works the same as if you were not using Light Point Web.
