About Light Point Security
Light Point Security prevents organizations from becoming victims of web-borne cyberattacks. The company was founded in 2012 by two former National Security Agency (NSA) cybersecurity veterans who set out on a journey to redefine the way organizations protect their business-critical data and applications from web-borne threats.
After spending years at the NSA protecting the nation’s most critical assets from cyberattacks, and seeing firsthand the security risks imposed by web browsers and the ineffectiveness of traditional detection-based security methods, Light Point Security’s founders invented the concept of remote isolated browsing. The company’s flagship product, the Light Point Web Full Isolation Platform, is the only Full Isolation remote browsing platform that integrates with existing browsers. The product’s unique architecture ensures malicious web content never reaches enterprise endpoints.
Light Point Security’s leadership team members, with over 70 years of experience in cybersecurity and national security, are world-renowned security experts who have dedicated their careers to researching, developing and implementing security solutions for some of the most complex security environments in the world.
Since its inception, Light Point Security has received numerous industry accolades and awards, including the RSA Innovation Sandbox Top 10 Most Innovative Security Company, the Wall Street Journal Top 5 Startup of the Year, the Cybersecurity Ventures Top 500 Cybersecurity Company in the World, and CRN’s Top 10 Coolest Security Startup.
At Light Point Security, our mission is simple: make browsing the web safe. We are committed to delivering elegant, simple-to-use solutions that allow our customers to leverage the internet to be productive without being compromised by web, document, and email malware.

As the inventor of remote browser isolation, Beau knows all too well about the dangers of web browsing and the ineffectiveness of traditional detection-based security.
Prior to founding Light Point Security, Beau spent over 10 years in the US Intelligence Community as a team lead, security analyst and software developer. As a Global Network Exploitation Analyst for the National Security Agency (NSA), Beau worked on numerous offensive and defensive Top Secret projects and gained a keen understanding of the techniques and tools nation-state attackers use to access sensitive data and systems. He frequently provided the nation’s decision makers expert advice and tailored options for defending our nation’s networks and exploiting the networks of adversaries.
Leveraging his experience gained while defending the nation’s most critical assets against cyber threats, and deep understanding of how hackers and cybercriminals work, Beau architected the Light Point Web Full Isolation Platform.
Beau is frequently quoted in leading technology and cybersecurity publications, and has spoken at the CyberMaryland Conference.
Beau holds a BS in Computer Science from West Virginia University Institute of Technology, and an MS in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University.
